We are able to offer Encapsulated O-rings with either FEP (Fluorinated ethylene propylene) or PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) for the encapsulating outer jacket. The core, which we can offer in Viton, Silicone or EPDM, is seamlessly encapsulated by the jacket.
You might consider using Encapsulated O-rings if you need a higher temperature and chemical resistance then a standard O-ring can offer. The advantage of an Encapsulated O-ring is that the outer jacket gives the seal very high thermal stability whilst also being more resistant to corrosion, and at the same time the core offers the resilience and elasticity that you require from an O-ring.
If you are looking for an O-ring that requires less compressive load then you may wish to consider our Hollow Core silicone.
Our inside diameters start at 5.28mm with no upper size limit. We have 40 cross sections available ranging from 1.60 to 32.00 mm.
FEP (Fluorinated-Ethylene-Propylene)
The Fep encapsulation material offers good all round chemical protection and is the lower priced option of the available jacket materials. Fep enjoys compliance with FDA regulation CFR21 177-1550 in its virgin resin pellet form.
PFA (perfluoroalkoxy)
Pfa encapsulation provides the same chemical resistance as Fep but it has a greater upper service temperature (up to 260°C). Pfa also enjoys compliance with FDA regulation CFR21 177-1550 in its virgin resin pellet form.

FKM
FKM rubber is a popular choice for Encapsulated O-rings, as it has a greater chemical resistance than Silicone, and offers more protection should the FEP casing become damaged.

Silicone
Silicone can be used in most applications, due to its increased level of elasticity and lower hardness than FKM. We are able to offer both solid and hollow cores for our Silicone Encapsulated O-rings, affording more flexibility for the range of applications that the rings can be used in.

NEW – Encapsulated Gaskets
We produce a range of Encapsulated Gaskets for Kam & Groove Couplings (1/2”NB to 6” NB) in Fep Silicone and Fkm cores.
Additionally, we now make Tank Lid Seals (Manway Gaskets) in Fep Silicone (white or red colour cores) for DN500 and DN300 14.00 x 12.00mm + 14.00 x 14.00mm and we also have TFE jacket with anti-creep properties.
